The Client

We systematically analyse both the demand for our products and the client’s perception of our brands.

We are therefore aware that consumer expectations are constantly increasing. We do our utmost to meet these expectations by offering a broad product range and by constantly introducing innovative solutions.

Quality

To ensure the quality of our products, we implemented the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certified by KEMA (Holland) in 2000 and have been constantly improving it since then. Our quality standards for production are higher than those stipulated by Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP specifies the principles for preparing, producing and selling cosmetics), implemented in other Polish plants having a similar production profile. High production standards were one of the factors that led to the Group gaining the acceptance and appreciation of auditors from several cosmetic companies looking for subcontractors and for which Kolastyna Group now provides services.

Innovation

Kolastyna Group has one of the largest and most modern production plants in Poland. Our plant is equipped with the most modern machinery adapted to meet EU standards. We produce our cosmetics using state-of-the-art technologies and imported active ingredients. The plant has its own chemical laboratory for research and development purposes. The laboratory is also responsible for preparing new formulas and controlling production quality.

Professionalism

By professionalism we mean, first and foremost, conducting a dialogue with the customer – constantly monitoring the customer’s needs regarding the product, its price, functionality and added value. Professionalism also means ensuring quality at each and every stage of production. Every process related to producing cosmetics is run by qualified laboratory, engineering and pharmaceutical staff. We also use modern software including the AXAPTA electronic management support system.

Our Board Members are qualified managers with longstanding experience in the cosmetics industry who oversee the company’s proper strategic and operational functioning.

Modernity and technology

When developing new products, the company works together with:

  • the laboratories of renowned international cosmetic firms,
  • specialists in skin biology, cosmetology and dermatology,
  • scientific institutions.


We also draw on the opinions of external advisors and utilise market research analyses prepared by such research institutions as MilwardBrown, SMG/KRC and MEMRB.
The production potential of the Miraculum plant and the high quality of the products manufactured there are also exploited by other cosmetic companies, such as Cussons Polska, which subcontract Kolastyna’s services.

High Profitability

Kolastyna Group’s consolidated sales revenue for 2005 was 81.5 million PLN and the Group’s net profit for that year was 2.6 million PLN. We plan to achieve a profitability level of 10% within 3 to 5 years.
